Experience
After graduating with a major in Management Information Systems and Spanish, along with a minor in Computer Software Systems, I decided to spend two years teaching English in Spain. In this time I first fell in love with teaching - both transmitting knowledge and exciting student, young and old, to seek out knowledge themselves. In that time as well, I began tutoring for the first time for students eager to learn English. After those two years, I returned to the US and began working in web and application development with ASP.NET, HTML, JS, JQuery, PHP, CSS, and C# for two different businesses in the Birmingham area. I also began freelancing doing primarily Wordpress sites. Most recently I have also been building sites in frameworks like Bootstrap and Foundation. While I do enjoy design and development, I am also eager to spend some time teaching, which I why I have decided to tutor. I just love seeing the progress of students as they gain more and more command over a subject. I have experience working with those with absolutely no knowledge in the subject at hand, to pushing advanced students to mastery of the subject. Also I am very adaptable to any sort of situation, be it various age groups, locations, subjects, or teaching styles.
